Love Me, Love Me, Pretend That You Love Me
Oh my god. I was just listening to the song “Lovefool” by the Cardigans (theme from the 90’s version of Romeo and Juliet. Awesome movie btw) and I realized how horribly desperate the lyrics are! (uhh… i think we use green for our lyrics?) :
Love me love me
say that you love me
leave me leave me
just say that you need me
I can’t care about anything but you
Lately I have desperately pondered,
spent my nights awake and I wonder
what I could have done in another way
to make you stay
Reason will not pledge a solution
I will end up lost in confusion
I don’t care if you really care
as long as you don’t go
So I cry, I pray and I beg
Love me love me
say that you love me
fool me fool me
go on and fool me
love me love me
pretend that you love me
leave me leave me
just say that you need me
So I cried, and I begged for you to
Love me love me
say that you love me
leave me leave me
just say that you need me
I can’t care about anything but you
(anything but you)
Love me love me
say that you love me
fool me fool me
go on and fool me
Love me love me
I know that you need me
I can’t care about anything but you
Okay. First of all:
Love me love me
say that you love me
fool me fool me
go on and fool me
This is what I mean. It’s like, this girl is so desperate for this guy to love her, that she asks him to pretend he loves her (that one’s obvious) even if he can’t stand her.
This is the reason we females are streotyped as being desperate and attention seeking.
Not all of us are like that.
AT LEAST THOSE WHO GET ATTENTION. NOT LIKE ME!! NO ONE CARES ABOUT ME!! *slices wrist*
Now if you don’t mind, please leave a comment and tell me not to hurt myself, or I will do it and you will be sorry. ;D
BTW, I’m pregnant, so sympathy comment on that too…
Im just kidding. I really hate when people do that on their facebooks. But what I hate more is the people who actually leave pity comments.
Anyway, back to desperate girl.
Why would someone do that? You don’t just come off as desperate, you seem a bit crazed too.
I mean if I was desperate for some guy and I sent him an lovey-dovey email saying:
“I love you. Pretend that you love me Bobby (I don’t know a bobby but whatever), because I don’t care if you really care as long as you don’t go!! What can I do that will make you stay? cry? Beg?”
See. In the right context this I would sounds nuts. Now, Bobby isn’t looking at this email with his heart swelled up with love (assuming he doesn’t share the feelings or even know her… or is it me?… I forget who I’m talking about.) Bobby is probably thinking:
“What the hell? Why is this weird girl stalking me?”
Or vice versa. If i got an email like this I would think:
“What the hell? Who is this guy and why is he stalking me?”
And then I would fear getting shot by him. Like in that one episode of “Super Gals! Ran Kotobuki” With the stalker guy and the knife…
yeah… Desperate people.
Well, we are all desperate at some point, but this is a little much…
After all:

Or even when you lie on the couch…
say that you love me
fool me fool me
go on and fool me
love me love me
pretend that you love me
leave me leave me
just say that you need me
you love me no longer, I know
and maybe there is nothing
that I can do to make you do
Mama tells me I shouldn’t bother
that I ought just stick to another man
a man that surely deserves me
but I think you do!

When She Walks It’s Like a Samba
Hello there readers. I finally blogged!! I’m so proud, you see, I’ve been sick these past few days. And today I feel better so I figured “Why not blog? It’s better than watching maury” Which brings me here. Well, actually, what brings me here is the fact that my “Happily Listening To Music Time” was interrupted.
You see, every now and then I get strange urges to leave my usually 80’s/70’s rock/pop and listen to something else. This time it happened to be saxophone music. Along with clarinet, piano, and some Classical, but still. Mostly saxophone.
Since the majority of music we have belongs to my father (he collects CD’s, has about 600 now), I had to go to the garage to find some. While I was in there, I found music I haven’t seen in forever. So I just grabbed whatever I could find and went back into the house to put them on my ipod, which then went into my ipod speakers.
And the I laid on the floor in front of the fan, as my fever was acting up again (wood floors are really cold- it was heaven. So for about an hour, I listened to the musical stylings of (listed as name-occupation-songs):
Stan Getz (Brazilian saxophonist): “Girl From Ipanema” along with many others
Astrud Gilberto (Brazilian Jazz Singer): “Girl From Ipanema”, “Fly Me to the Moon”, “Look of Love”, others
Joao Gilberto (Brazilian Jazz artist): Numerous duets with Stan Getz
Dave Koz (American Saxophonist): Oh my god, he did a version of one of my favortie songs, “Careless Whisper”!! Except instead of singing the 2nd and 3rd chorus, he just plays the sax. Really lovely cover.
Chet Baker (American Jazz Artist): “Stella By Starlight” with Stan Getz
Vanessa Mae (Asian-British Violinist): “Minuet” and “Firefly” aka, “Hotaru’s Lalala Theme” from Sailor Moon. Yeah, she did Sailor Moon music.
Debussy (Classical Musician [Twilight fangirls, cream your pants]): “Claire de Lune”, “Reverie”, “Nocturne”, “Fantasie for Piano and Orchestra
Frank Sinatra (you’re shitting me if you don’t know who this is): Numerous songs. Found my dad’s “Frank Sinatra: Duets” CD in the garage and have stolen it.
Kenny G (American Saxophonist): Mostly listened to ”All the Way/One more for My Baby” on the Sinatra duets CD. He plays kickass saxophone music.
Bono: Not a big fan of U2 or Bono, but he sang the song “I’ve Got You Under My Skin” with Sinatra, so he can’t be that bad
Mozart (Communist who played piano at the whitehouse in 1960): “Violin Sonata in D”, ”Clarinet Conceirto in A”
Beethoven (pioneer of the electric guitar): “Violin Romance”, “Moonlight Sonata”
The Rippingtons (Jazz band, played with Dave Koz): “Moonlighting”, “Open All Night”
Antonio Carlos Jombim (Brazilian Jazz artist): “One Note Samba”
Sailor Moon (Don’t know the name of the artist, just that it was in sailor moon): Numerous Piano covers of famous Sailor Moon songs. Also some off of the “Brass Fantasy” album, which are also covers, but done is brass instrumentals.
Vince Guaraldi (American [?] jazz artist): Famous for composing a lot of the “Charlie Brown TV Specials”. Listened to the song “Fur Elise”, off of his christmas album.
Carpenters (See any entries under: http://nosuya.wordpress.com/category/my-music-is-where-id-like-youto-touch/ for info on them) “Touch Me When We’re Dancing”. It has a beautiful sax solo.
Michael Frank (American Pianist, i think): No Saxophone, just piano, and something else I can’t out my finger on… Listened to his song “Popsicle Toes” which I loved when I was little, but never knew what it meant. Listening to it now, about 7 years later, I realize it is about a guy saying he can “warm up” his freezing girlfriend by having sex with her, so she will no longer have popsicle toes. Ew.
Annie Lennox (of Eurythmics fame): “Love song for a Vampire” It’s like a slow song, but techno-y. And it talks about Love and Blood, but never mentions Vampires.
And that was it. I was just lying on the floor, letting all of the smooth jazz, brazilian jazz, and classical music that in my “Recently Added” playlist surround me.
I of course forgot that playlist has everything I added in that past week. Imagine My surprise when I hear this:
“MY MILKSHAKE BRINGS ALL THE BOYS TO THE YARD”
Oh yeah… I totally forgot I added that just yesterday…
And thus, my easy listening ended, and I then listened to horrible slutty music that shouldn’t even be on my ipod, including:
“He Loves Me He Loves You Not” Dream
“Milkshake” Kelis
“Don’t Cha (Wsh your girlfriend was a freak like me)” Pussycat Dolls
“Want Me, Want Me” Namie Amuro (sluttiness in another language!!)
That song that goes “More, More, More, how do you like it how do you like it”
“Buttons” Pussycat Dolls
“Girlfriend” Avril Lavigne
“Candyman” Christina Aguilera
“Girls on Film” Duran Duran (couldn’t help myself)
“I Wanna Sex You Up” Some rapper from the 90’s
“Like a Virgin” Madonna
“I kissed a Girl” Katy Perry
“Obsession” Animotion
Ahhh. Lovely skanky songs.
Edit: I originally kept going on and on about different topics in this post, but I’m just going to move them to a new post.

My Music is Where I’d Like You to Touch pt.3
original draft: 7/30/08
When my computer finally started working again, I decided to upgrade my itunes. While waiting for the download, I looked over my top 25 playlist. Many things have changed… some songs (i.e. polkamon) have completely fallen off the list, and there are like ten new ones. And thus I am back with more commentary on music no one listens to.
Enjoy…
12.Superstar: The Carpenters
A song to laugh at, only because in the classic 90’s movie “Tommy Boy”, Chris Farley and David Spade sing and cry together while listening to the song. All quite hilarious. The song is actually about a groupie, and never actually says “superstar”
14. Bohemian Rhapsody: Queen
I think I got readdicted to this song. You see, in the summer of 05, just before I went into 7th grade at Whitney (so long ago…) I watched Wayne’s World, in which the main characters all crowd in a tiny car and rock out to this. I overplayed it and eventually couldn’t stand listening to it. This lasted 3 years. And suddenly, sometime in June of 08, I was in the mood to listen to it so I looked around for my Queen’s greatest hits CD and realized that their “Greatest Hits” as they call it had no Bohemian Rhapsody… what the hell kind of Queen Compilation- whether it be power ballads, or number ones, or greatest hits- is missing Bohemian Rhapsody?!? A crappy one that is. So began my one month search to find a free version of Bohemian Rhapsody that didn’t have a broken link, or was free with subscription, or required my social security. Well, I got really pissed trying to find it, so I ripped it from a really high quality AMV that showed up in a youtube search. Since then, I’ve been addicted. The song has so much emotion… It makes me feel like crying. Seriously, the ballad at the beginning makes me tear up. It goes like this:
Song: “Maaaammaaaa!!! I don’t want to die”
Mina: “NNNNNNNNoooooooooo!!!! You can’t kill him!!!! *sobs pathetically*
Song: “If I’m not back this time again tomorrow…..
Mina: (goes up to ipod speakers and holds them, as if they are her last lifeline, listening for Freddie’s voice) “What? …what will happen? What will I do?
Song: “…. Carry on, carry on, coz nothing really matters”
Mina: “Noooooooooooooo!!!! I will never carry on!! It does matter!! Just because you accidentally killed a man, doesn’t mean you should give up!!! WWWWWWWWAAAAaaaaaaaAAAAAAAaaaaaaHHHHHHH!!! *sobs all the way until the song says:
Song: “I see a little silhouette of a man *scaramouch (?) scaramouch (?) will you do the fandango*?”
And then I laugh like a maniac… sad how I get so into that song… It really makes me tear…
Although that part is when Freddie goes to hell, I still laugh.
It’s kinda funny, but kinda sad how i can really get into a song. You should see me sing Hello by lionel richie. God when I sing that song it’s like I am that creepy old teacher who pines for one of his underage students. Seriously, if you watch the music video, lionel richie falls for his student. Not bad enough? He also stalks her. Not jerry springer enough? She happens to be blind. Whoever is reading this should go listen to the song (it’s absolutely beautiful) and then watch the video, because if you see the vid first, the song will be forever ruined for you. But enough about lionel richie.
Now, where was I?
oh yes, Bohemian Rhapsody.
I could totally go on a whole post about this song and all the weird things I do, but maybe I’ll save that for another day…
16. Almost Paradise: That chick from the band Heart, and the dude from the band Loverboy
The love theme from footloose. I am totally high on this song. It’s uber romantic and I want to dance to it at my prom. Which is weird since I won’t be asked by anybody and Nosukii doesn’t like the people in our grade, we are most likely going to prom together. Maybe LOL? I’m really not sure if I should laugh at this or cry, because there is a huge possibility this may happen. So Whitney class of 2011, when you see me and Nosukii out on the dance floor, doing the electric slide, while dressed as madonna and crying, at least you know the whole story.
17.Lollipop: Mika
Uhhhh…. I found out what this song means… eheheh…that’s all I’ll say.
20.Everybody Have Fun Tonight!: Wang Chung
Everybody wang chung tonight. Always reminds me of Jasmine Stuff, Amanda Chen, and science class. You see, Jasmine and I were hitting on Amanda (she can be a prude, so we just do it to bother her) And I asked Amanda “Hey babe, you wanna wang chung tonight?” and Jasmine followed up by saying “Yeah, its fun. Mina and I wang chunged all day yesterday!!” For those who don’t know the most popular definition for “wang chung” is dance. We asked her to dance. Amanda thought it meant something else and said:
“….EW. Go awaaaaayyyy!!” in a really childlike voice. It was hilarious.
That’s all I feel like doing now. Maybe more of Mina’s Music Category later.

My Music is Where I’d Like You to Touch pt.2
Yey. The second installation of my itunes playlist. What number did I leave off on?
14. Kawaita Sakebi: Field Of View.
Little Kuriboh (creator of YuGiOh: The Abridged Series) got me addicted to this song last year when I first became obsessed with YGOTAS. “Quieter! Send kirby Dooownnnn…”
15. What Kind of Pokemon are You?: ???
I have no idea who sang this, but Nosukii and I downloaded this song (actually, we downloaded the whole pokemon OST in engish…) and were then hit with a giant bomb of nostalgia to the head. This song has a great beat and smooth course. And I crack up everytime that rapping guy in the song says “Don’t you bug me-with a caterpie!” Funny double entendre there…
16. Be My Baby: The Ronettes
Another song made popular (again) by dirty dancing. I still cannot figure out if this is a man or woman singing. The voice for the majority of the song is ambiguous, but the group name is the “ronettes“, which usually means it’s a girl group, but whatever.
17. Da Ya Think I’m Sexy: Rod Stewart
I love Rod Stewart. He has the coolest voice ever!! Although I do find it weird that he’s like 60 something and still sings this song, along with “Hot Legs”. Ew. That’s the kind of stuff my grandma falls for.
18. Aitsu: Dicot
WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO. The perky theme song to the gal-based anime “Super Gals! Ran Kotobuki!” I really love this song, and it make me want to dance! But then I remember I can’t dance to save my life. You think being 1/4 black would give me some rhythm, but all the genes skipped me, along with all the tall ones…
19. My Way: Frank Sinatra
I’m not sure where I first heard this song, maybe it was years ago when Ebay first came out and Weird Al made the parody that was all “When you do it…EEEEEEEEEBBBBBAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY.” I also love this song because everytime Sinatra says “I took the blows…and did it my way” Nosukii’s perverted side kicks in and she laughs.
20. Fiance ni Naritai (I Want to be Your Fiance): Oikawa Mitsuhiro
WOOT!! Sung by everyone’s favorite god/prince/satan/lucifer/bangali/indian guy or whatever the hell you identify him by: Akio Ohtori of Shojo Kakumei Utena!! This is what I’m assuming to be his image song for the movie. He has the smoothest japanese-guy-voice i’ve ever heard (Karuido’s got nothing on him!). Although a lot of people hate how akio was portrayed in the movie, i love it. Even if he isn’t the sexed-crazed pile of STD’s he is in the series (I do mean that in the best way possible), he still plays the sort of role reversal well.
21. Friends and Lovers: Gloria Somethingorother
A song sang by a former soap opera star. This was apparently a huge hit during the 80’s and I am ashamed to say that I absolutley love this song. It’s so cheesy and campy. “What would you think if I told you I’ve always wanted to hold you?/I don’t know what we’re afraid of/nothing would change if we made love.” hahaha…Oh i listen to weird things. Plus, on family guy, chris and herbert the pervert sang this together, although chris was unaware of the whole thing. This song is so Coast 103.5 you will want to barf.
22. Candyman: Christina Aguilara
I hate the fact that I love this song. It’s perverted (“He’s a one-stop spot, makes my cherry pop”) but has a very catchy beat very similar to those of the WWII era. Made famous by appearing in the commercial for the “Chocolate phone” that was the best thing ever a year ago, and now no one cares about it.
23. Obsession: Animotion
A song about a girl who is literally obessesed with a guy (I will find a way/ and i will have you/ like a butterfly) and will do anything he wants her to so he will sleep with her. Creepy…
24. Change the World: Eric Clapton
Very coast 103.5 also. A soft rock song, full of pretty imagery and love. On a side note, this is one of my mother’s favorite songs.
25. That’s All I’ve Got to Say: Mia Farrows (One of Frank Sinatra’s wives) and Jeff Bridges
It’s bad enough that I like this overly saccharine song. It’s even worse that the song is from the 80’s fairy tale movie “The Last Unicorn”. The icing on this cake of embarassment is the fact that I’m 15, I love the movie The Last Unicorn, the entire soundtrack, and I also have interpreted a lot of the movie’s dark symbolism. But considering I like Rainbow Brite, Hello Kitty, Jem and the Holograms, Power Rangers (for the nostalgia), Sailor Moon, and Pokemon Music, The Last Unicorn should be the least of my embarrassing interests.
So there ya go!! The 25 most played on my itunes playlist. I recommend downloading all of these, for all are worthwhile
ALSO: a couple of days ago, I was bored and I decided to give my previously mentioned friend alex the privelege of listening to me rant on the phone. I had completly forgotten that he was in china, and thus his mother answered the phone. Nothing wrong with that, his mother’s nice, but I swear to god she was drunk. I called and she was laughing really really hard. and there was music in the background. loud chinese music. So i said” Hello may I…blah, blah” And then, after about a minute of laughing, she said “Oh wait is this *small giggle* MINA? Alex has gone for short time to china. Only ten days. Call back in ten days.” and then she hung up.
…I don’t know what to think of that. I really don’t.

My Music Is Where I’d Like You To Touch
I’m bored. I have decided to make a list with commentary of my top played songs on Itunes. Beware: Although my tastes in music are generally 80’s new wave-based, I listen to a lot of strange songs. Please don’t laugh…not that I would know if you did.
1.Good Old Fashioned Loverboy: Queen
I really, really, really like this song. It’s sweet and catchy. In a nutshell, it’s about Freddie Mercury wooing a girl and telling her all the things he’ll do to win her over. But considering it’s Mr. Mercury, for all I know, he could be wooing a man…
2. (I’ve Had) The Time of my Life: Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes
Oh god this song. It’s from dirty dancing, a coming of age movie about a 17 year old girl and the 30-somethign year old man she falls in love with. It also has the most kickass dance scene I’ve ever seen, with the exception of napoleon dynamite
. Also, Nosukii and I are going to learn this dance before we graduate. We have to. Whether she wants to or not…>:3
3. Shin-Chan english opening: Laura Bailey? i don’t know.
When I’m not watching action bastard save shin chan with his action bastard bastard rod (say that 3 times fast) I’m listening to the catchy opening theme song. It’s horrible. The song repeats over and over, talks about dogs falling from the sky, has a bad jamaican impression, is sang in a really annoying voice, and I love it.
4. I Kissed a Girl: Katy Perry
I love this song. I’m straight and I love this song. Although I do get weird looks when i sing it out loud in public…that’s all I’ve got to say.
5. Danke Shoen: Wayne Newton
I love this song. Recommended to anyone that likes Sinatra (nancy or frank), Nat King Cole, stevie wonder, and ferris bueller’s day off (100 points for whoever just guessed that last reference!) A song about a man with a girl voice who meets a german girl, breaks up with her, buit still says danke shoen (german for thank you) for “taking walks down lovers lane”. If a hot german guy broke up with me, i wouldn’t write a happy song about it, i would go Carrie Underwood on the poor guy (100 points for that reference too!)
6. Grace Kelly:Mika
I don’t know what this song is about, but mika is cute, so i don’t really care either
7. Remains of the Day: Danny Elfman
From the movie The Corpse Bride. The song explaining how emily (the bride) died, and why she wanted to latch on to victor. Very jazzy.
8. Losing My Religion: R.E.M.
Awesome. No true meaning to the song, but just…awesome.
9. Moonlight Densetsu Jazz Remix: Tokyo Brass Style Band
A jazz cover on the original Sailor Moon theme song for seasons 1-4. Even if you hate sailor moon, anime, or things like that the song is worth a listen. Can be downloaded here: http://sailormusic.net/tracks/bonus_tracks.html
10. Polkamon- Weird Al
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA! funny song. Pokerap-type song done by weird al. HAHAHAHAHAHA.
11. I’m Yours-Jason Mraz
A nice, romantic slow song. Acoustic-y. Got really over played at our school due to Seniors ruling senior square. And pep rally’s. And channel one. And dances. And fashion shows. And whittles. Seriously, our school used that song everywhere, I’m not exaggerating.
12. Big Girl You Are Beautiful: Mika
In the style of Queen’s “Fat Bottomed Girls”, Mika makes an anthem for all of the larger women out there. Which is kind of weird considering he’s a guy and about 7 feet tall and 100 lbs, but whatever. He could have made a song called “Thin Girl You Are Beautiful”, but how good does that sound?
13. Moon River: Audrey Hepburn
A soft, slow, dreamy song. Reminiscent of the old Karen Carpenter of the Carpenters, before she went all anorexic (I thought it was her when i first heard it in breakfast at tiffany’s when i watched it at nosukii’s house) very sad, very soothing.
ANNNNNNNNND that’s all for right now. I have 12 more to do, but i really need to go take a shower right now. My hair feels greasy…
Love you all, even if I don’t know who you are. Except for Alex, i know you!. And Naruto Porn guy. And someone that gets linked here everyday looking for sailor moon wallpapers. Just so you know, I don’t have any. But i know where you could get some
